Checking Signal Strength
The X1271 works best when it has a strong connection to nearby cell towers. The best ways to check how good the signal on this router are either the bar lights on the router, a max of 4 bars is great but 3 is also very good and once connected running a speed test should show how fast the signal is.
To find the best signal move the X1271 around your home, high off the ground near either a window or exterior wall is best. and once you find a suitable location run a speed test and write down where it was and its speeds. Then rotate it a bout 20 degrees clockwise, wait about 30 seconds and run another speed test and document what the speeds are and continue this process until you find the best location in the home.
Unable to connect to the wifi signal
Try connecting to both the SKYLINK_2.4G and SKYLINK_5G networks using the password Getlinked as that is the default password.
Some devices connect more easily to either the 2.4 or 5g connections depending on the device itself so its good to try them both. Older devices like printers or TV's tend to work better on the 2.4g network while phones, tablets, laptops and some gaming systems usually work better on the 5g connection.
If you're using the right password and still cant connect to the network you might need to do a factory reset by holding down the reset pinhole button on the left side of the router. Hold it down for about 10-15 seconds and the lights should start changing. After the factory reset give the router a couple minutes for all the lights to come back on. At most 10 minutes can be needed but it is usually much quicker if the signal is good.
Antennas
Make sure all 4 of the antennas are fully screwed into place so that they do not rotate freely, they should be pointed straight up in most cases, you can fan the two outer ones out a few degrees but do note those are the two main antennas so they are the most important for connectivity.
